From the submitter:
The CPU fan on my computer broke. The screw holes of the replacement fan did not match up with the old screw holes in the heat sink (there were notches cut out of the corners, there was nowhere to screw the new fan to). I had to find a way to make my own screw holes for the fan, without impeding air flow.
Myself, I built a desktop a while back and I probably dust it once a year, but also do a mild cleaning whenever I upgrade a part. Usually just a simple wipedown and a couple of blasts from the ol' air canister and I call it good. What about you guys? Any special tips you use for getting rid of the gunk?
(bonus points if you post your own rig)
