Jim Doran creates these paper dioramas using just pen and paper (and presumably some surgeon-like nerves) and mint tins. His subjects range from the whimsy to the macabre, and even on a technical level they're astounding to look at. Take a look at some of his working process photos at his site, and more in the gallery below.
Darick Maasen had an ordinary boar's head as a taxidermized mount. A few bits of clothing and some other DIY materials later we have the villain Bebop from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. You can even buy the piece off of his Etsy account for a cool $500. Click through to see a little more of his creative process (nothing gross, no worries) and the materials involved!
