Queensland, Australia cafe owner, Jessica-Anne Allen, has gotten praise recently for standing up for a woman breast feeding her child in the cafe. She told the Brisbane Times that when a man asked her to confront a customer about covering up while feeding her baby she responded by telling him that they "would never ask a mother to cover up when she is feeding her child" at her breast feeding friendly business.
Allen asked the man to leave when he mentioned that he did say something to the woman about covering up while feeding her baby. Since then she has reiterated her support of mothers on the cafe's Facebook page and received support from many people, especially mothers, in her community.
Five boys at a Minnesota elementary school noticed that one student was being picked on for his learning disability and decided to do something about it. They pledged to become his friend and "have his back". His mother told KARE 11 that their friendship has been life changing for him. The boys will be recognized with a spirit award at the end of the school year.
