McDonald's Asked People to Invent Their Own Burgers Because Apparently They've Never Been on the Internet Before

A major corporation runs a campaign to let people on the internet be a little creative with their brand and said campaign fails spectacularly because people are awful. Sound familiar? It's a tale as old as time. Or at least as old as Wifi. This time the social media screw up is burger themed, YUM!

From Elite Daily:

... the south London home of Junior Francis, 33, was raided in November of last year due to suspicions he was selling hard drugs.

Francis claimed he was innocent, but his mobile phone proved otherwise.

He had taken several photos of himself holding massive amounts of cash and even posted them to his Instagram account.

Accompanying one photo was the caption “everything I got I work hard for it,” loosely quoting a lyric from Notorious BIG.

The people of Cheltenham, England were devastated by tragedy in the night. The extent of the fallout from this incident is as yet unknown.  First reported by The Gloucestershire Echo, this sad, entire chicken dinner was found strewn about the pavement early Thursday morning.

Residents have been reacting on social media, most with compassion, some with outrage over the lack of coverage by 'mainstream' media outlets.

Here's hoping the Cheltenham community is able to recover quickly from this incident. Someone will probably start a GoFundMe campaign for it if they haven't already.

A man got over 300 texts from people trying to cash in on Chipotle's free burrito special. They were supposed to text RAINCHECK to 888-222 but several people have added an extra 2 and sent texts to Henry Levine instead.

He told the Washington Post, "The first thing I did was get my free burrito, because I don’t dislike burritos". What a sensible person. Then he started texting back the super fans who sent him more than one message to tell them they had the wrong number.

Since then he's become a social media sensation and he appears to be on a quest to get those poor people their free burritos! At least he's got his priorities straight after this newfound fame.
