No seriously, I'm not singing anymore. What's that on Joey's head, he's starting to weird me out...
This is actually one phone photoshopped and video-edited to look like several phones, but the effect is still pretty cool.
(at least one of you won't bother to read this and will call it out for being shopped in the comments anyway).
Also it's Mark Foster's birthday today (leap year baby!) so there's that.
Seminal blues singer Etta James passed away today after a long battle with leukemia at the age of 73. She released dozens of memorable albums and singles since she started singing in 1954 at the age of 15. Among her hits are "Good Rockin' Daddy," "W.O.M.A.N," and "At Last," of which the latter song will probably create a slew of too-soon jokes like the one above.
More recently, James was portrayed by Beyonce Knowles in the 2008 film Cadillac Records, and the Obamas selected "At Last" for their first dance at the 2009 inaugural ball.
Storied psychedelic alt-rockers The Flaming Lips released their first song of 2012, and it makes clever use of Siri's vocals. Titled "Now I Understand," it turns Siri's "I don't understand" error reply into an existential quest for meaning that lies at the heart of the human condition. DEEP.
(It's actually pretty good, too.)
All this only months after someone taught Siri to rap. At this rate, she'll get signed to a major label.
