Spicy April Fools Pranks People Planned

Nothing stirs up emotions quite like a solid prank. Maybe not "filling someone's car with bees" or "seducing your boss's wife" level pranking, but something like giving someone a jelly donut filled with mustard. People pull off some sinister pranks, and they're great to hear about, even if just to get ideas. We can't guarantee that anyone will trust you after doing crap like this, but it is kind of awesome.

It's probably not a good idea to smash a superheated metal ball with a hammer without a plan. Okay, we're gonna go out on a limb here and say it's definitely a bad idea to smash a superheated metal ball with a hammer unless you're a blacksmith who know why he's smashing that ball in the first place. And it's probably an even worse idea to do it in a t shirt. That said, the result is some real chaos god/level 60 battlemage material.

Manager Won't Make Customers Leave, Customer Stays Until 5 AM

Anyone who's worked retail knows that there are some infuriating customers out there, and sometimes they need a push in the right direction. This manager had it in their head that no one should be told to leave at 2 am, so this employee made a point to show just how bad of an idea that can be. It got results. For more customer stories, here are bold and mistaken customers who were at the wrong store.

Employee proves point to manager by letting customer stay til 5 am | r/MaliciousCompliance Posted by u/Ratsincorduroy 23 hours ago Proved my manager s better warn customers closing time oc M used work at store open until 2AM every night week, so as can imagine 2AM rolled around always ready get out there. Safety Failures Of OSHA-Defying Boldness

Sure, the get 'er done mentality is an effective way to motivate yourself to complete tough jobs and long hours, but when it's used by your boss to justify lowering you on a backhoe over the side of a cliff, you're entering safety failure territory. Anyone with a physical job is regularly tempted or ordered to take scary shortcuts in the form of safety failures that would make OSHA faint. Gotta admit, jacking a car up with a plastic chair doesn't really seem worth it.

The Worst Things People Ate Out of Politeness

As generally decent people, we pride ourselves on displaying a dizzying amount of decorum as houseguests. We will gladly sit at a great aunt's table and swill cloyingly sweet tea just to smile and glowingly lie through our rapidly decaying teeth over how grateful we are for the privilege. We will laboriously swallow dry biscuits and tamp them down with stalks of celery like we're muskets loading themselves. Sure, we'd rather not, but that social contract is nigh unbreakable. We'd much rather spend an entire night uncomfortable than say an unkind word about a mother-in-law's dismally soggy quiche. Go us and our willingness to tolerate these cursed food abominations. The things people eat to be polite are some of the worst foods people have eaten. Pour one out for those of us who wish we could pour this lukewarm soup into the waste basket.

Absurdly Overpriced Stuff People Have Seen

We all know someone who, against better judgement, will buy into the complete BS of an expensive product, and assume that the high price tag is a legitimate marker of quality. It's sad to see, but when someone spends literally any money on a rock in a bag, that's kind of on them. Here are some products that are getting more expensive and somehow worse, as well as some signs someone is trying way to hard to look rich.

Ridiculously overpriced products | patchyj 1.5k points 4 days ago couple years ago, Mark's and Spencer Food high end supermarket UK, tried selling "Cauliflower Steak" which thick slice cauliflower 2.50 covered plastic could literally buy whole cauliflower same row bit further down 40p. Parents of Ugly Babies Share What That's Like

We knew kids were weird and stupid already, but for a decent amount of time they're also ugly too. It's true that none of us would look too great if we had soft heads that just got pushed through a human being like a play-dough fun factory, but it's kind of a toss-up how different people take it. They're not supposed to look great when they're fresh anyway. Life is weird like that. You're born into this world and it's just a matter of time before you start realizing all the illogical things your parents do.

Many of us have endured those bone-chilling moments where what feels like some kind of "sixth sense" kicks into overdrive, and some part of your brain is tuned into a borderline supernatural event. Well regardless of whether or not you've had one of those moments yourself, these folks certainly have enough horror stories to go around. For some more unsettling moments, check out these absolutely bonkers apparent glitches in the matrix

Weird and Wild Junk People Were Told In Sex Ed

For a whole lot of people, sex ed was more of a fear factory than a sober discussion of scientific facts, and it's really weird how much unverified information and questionable analogies people are prepared to hare in order to get kids to do what they want. Yeah, a lot of awkward sex questions get asked in sex ed, but at least they sometimes get answered.

Unlucky Moments of Misfortune and Chaos

Our successes wouldn't seem so great if we didn't have moments of failure and chaos, or so they say. It would probably be just as nice to enjoy a promotion or lottery win without having to deal with all the exploded toilets and dropped eggs that life tends to throw at us, but that's just a personal opinion. Either way, the world is merciless.

Tumblr Thread: The Yarn Community Has Serious Drama

One wouldn't think that the yarn and knitting community would go to bat for their extremely strong opinions on the kind of material that's most likely to set a baby on fire, or that there would be people faking their deaths, but you would be wrong. Tumblr gets into the politics and colorful internal drama of the yarn people. It's reminiscent of this tumblr foray into the drama of the art world.

Stealing Roommate Gets Clothes Dyed for Free

The only good thing about having a roommate that steals your stuff is that if you tamper with your own stuff, they're in no position to complain about your stuff that they deny taking. This is a pretty common tactic. A similar and more explosive thing happened when this food thief's roommate switched to regular milk.

There's sounds in that there piano, by gum. These sound effects artists are pounding, digging and dry icing their way through that sorry bastard in order to mine those valuable sounds outta there. Evidently these are sound effects for the upcoming Halo Infinite, but mostly boy oh boy look at that unhappy piano.

Unsafe Toys People Remember From The Olden Days

Anyone with a few decades on them can remember a time when toys were heavy, sharp, fast, toxic and scalding. Whether it was a playground slide that would sear the flesh off your palms or a chemistry set that could have made biker crank, people had a different idea of what was considered safe for children. People remember the wildly dangerous activities they participated in as children.

Stupid Things Restaurants Used Instead of Dishes

One of the things we don't miss about restaurants is the need to make increasingly inconvenient, and sometimes potentially dangerous presentation. For example, serving food on top of a bed of bite-sized rocks is kind of a bad idea. Here are outlandish restaurant presentations, from broccoli on barbed wire to burgers on a guitar.

Spelling Fails That Took Their Liberties With Words

We're not exactly as literate a society as we'd like to be, so we end up birthing a whole lot of regrettable and dumb spelling fails. On one hand, spelling is hard. On the other hand, people are out here misspelling words that have almost no right to be as misspelled as they are. People get creative with their spelling fails.
