Yesterday, Seattle-based record label Sub Pop shared a letter on their Tumblr blog that had reportedly come from a Virginia Tech student, asking the singer of Nirvana if "she" would appear in a video to be shown during Homecoming Week along with members of the Ying Yang Twins, Slightly Stoopid and some NFL stars. According to the post, Sub Pop staff members dressed up like Nirvana and recorded a forthcoming response. Could this be an elaborate prank? Sub Pop

Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds have been busy absolutely destroying the press tour for Life, by providing an endless procession of hilariously candid bromance-fueled interviews. The dudes cannot be stopped, and the chemistry between the two is next level. As a fan of both these guys and their work, I'm just so damn happy Hollywood finally brought 'em together; because I think we're witnessing the prelude to an epic talk show, with them as our hosts. Oh please, please, let it happen.

Photographer Grover Schrayer captured something spectacular in an otherwise mundane event. The remnants of wax found on the average candle refract light when the wick is snuffed out, creating this cool rainbow effect.
