3 U Penn students developed the µWave (microwave, get it?), an Arduino based kitchen hack that plays Youtube videos while you wait for noms. Once you set the cooking time the program goes to Youtube and finds a highly-rated video for the exact length. Read more about it at the project's website.

RO&AD, an architectural firm whose name sounds very much like a quote from an intoxicated Chris Farley, recently designed The Trench Bridge. A pedestrian foot path designed to make us rethink the way we look at bridges, this one crosses the moat in front of Fort de Roovere in Halsteren. A neat concept, but one that would only be applicable on a small scale to bodies of water that stay at a constant depth.

Meet the Little Printer. This adorable little guy from design firm BERG is a smartphone-controlled micro printer that can print anything from designs to receipts to to-do lists. It's scheduled for a 2012 release; no word yet on its price or what to do about ink or paper replacements.
