For me, 'The Dark Knight' still stands as one of the greatest movies of all time. It was one of those films were the writing, acting, and directing all come together perfectly to create a truly awe-inspiring experience.

Cars!

Nobody's favorite Pixar movie is Cars, even though it is far and away the most profitable Pixar film. However, if you ever had any biological questions aout the Cars franchise, which I know you have, this video will save you a lot of time.

YouTuber The Film Theorists have once again thrown another crazy, obsessive conspiracy theory that take every aspect of the film from its magical origins to their killjoy conclusions. Connections between the Pixar movies must exist in unified universe, so he can force theories like the Cars in Cars are bugs or something.

Anyway, these are impressive and entertaining ideas, but also not that important. I'm not sure why you would spend so much time only on the surface of a film, instead of actually engaging with the meaning of it, but hey it's just a theory... a film theory.

This guy really hates reboots.

At the Vietnam premiere of the new film Kong: Skull Island a giant, promotional model of the famed ape burst into flames, in a perfect metaphor for the state of blockbuster entertainment. The fire was caused by a nearby volcano simulation that was meant to promote yet another reboot of Merian C. Cooper's 1933 masterpiece.

More so than the fire, watching Kong set ablaze should have you wonder what this says about the state of cinema. Are we relying on old properties to take care of the heavy-lifting? Are modern studios getting rich off the backs of other people's creativity? Is it cool to watch a Kong statue burn? Questions for another time...

When it's not enough that you have a family film that brilliantly straddles the line between fun animated comedy and socio-political metaphor, why not recut it to be really, really scary? This is kind of like the gritty reboot of Zootopia

Still, this is really well done. It looks like a real trailer, if you're into that sort of thing.

Sylvester Stallone has every reason to feel pleased about his Rocky legacy. It's among one of the most beloved film franchises of all time and even has two good-to-great conclusions, Rocky Balboa and Creed, respectively.

So you can't blame him for giving some awesome stories about the times he got destroyed in the ring by the people playing his film opponents.

These two from Instagram detail the times that Hulk Hogan sent him to the hospital and when he got in the ring with Smokin' Joe Frazier, the man who almost got the part of Clubber Lang, which famously went to Mr. T.

These are so cool:

Ok. So you're not watching this for the talking because why would you have to put up with two dudes asking if "you've ever had nachos at the movies."

Stupid question.

Then you get to hear this dude talk about why he doesn't eat and watch TV. It's because an artist chose every second. What a hero.

Anyway, they drink this thing at about 10 minutes in. Skip around to that.

Everyone hates a plot hole. They pull you out of the movie and allow you to justify being a total dick to your friends who say, "I thought it was pretty good."

Ugh. Those idiots. Don't they realize that it would be super hard for Batman to get from the middle east to Gotham in just a few weeks!

Anyway, these brave movie critics are looking at some of the biggest plot holes in movies, games, whatever! Because "it's just a movie" is never enough for them.
