Just in case you worry about the adapter becoming too hot.
From the kludger:
While half way trimming my hair the built-in battery got drained. I had a meeting in 1 hour and charging would had taken 3 - 4 hours. I decided to open it up only to find a NiMH AAA battery soldered on. I ripped it out, pulled the wires to the exterior. Wired up a standard AAA battery while keeping it in good contact with two of my fingers, while finishing up the job. Worked like a charm. Not a pretty sight through.
If you run out of button batteries for your stereo remote, just replace it with a AA, some tape and some spare wires.
If any of my toys had C or D batteries growing up, I instantly liked them less. ~Not-So-Handy Andy
And sometimes, where there's a will, there's also about 50 different safety hazards.
I'll bet it's still not as durable as a peanut phone, though.
This one can almost go a whole day without recharging!
