There you are, just minding your own business. And all of a sudden, a helpful sign tells you that there is a monkey. The sign doesn't tell you where the monkey is, just that it's around. And that it bites. And if you try to fight, you can't win. That's just one of the signs. What else is out there?

There's so many signs, toys and products being designed all the time that some of them are inevitably not going to be proofread. And boy are we grateful for that. We wish more people made stupid mistakes that render their bookstore accidentally filthy. Here's to measuring once before cutting.

These signs do not need to repeat themselves. It could be anything, like possible ebola contamination or a mysterious door that should never be opened. The specificity, or sometimes vagueness of these particular signs makes it abundantly clear that their threats are not to be trifled with.

Let's start with an obvious fact: work can be boring. Really boring. And commuting to work can be boring too. But some people, probably the most bored ones at work, decided to spice things up a bit by putting up terrible puns on signs. Terrifically, hilariously, terrible. And I'm sure that these bored employees not only had a bit of fun, but made everyone passing the sign on their commute have a bit of a chuckle too. I know I did when reading them. So props to the random employees who made the world a better place with a little bit of wordplay. 

Some signs are more ominous than they intend to be. Other signs aren't even intended as a warning, but they're still creepy as hell.

These signs deserve a raise because they are doing too good of a job at being scary.
