frustrating

Work sometimes feels like a total racket, but it's something we all have to do, so at least there's that. In addition to knowing your coworkers have to go through the same thing, there's also work memes to help get through the day. Do work memes make work easier? Not necessarily. But they are a pretty decent alternative.

The problem with having to feed yourself is that it costs money, and people only give you money for doing stuff they don't want to do themselves. Even if you like your job, it gets tiring. That's why it's at least nice to know that it's a feeling everyone has, and a handy dose of work memes can deliver a shot of catharsis in an otherwise cumbersome situation.

At some unfortunate jobs, your boss doesn't pay attention to your job description, and will make you do whatever you're willing to do. At other jobs, you're basically a punching bag for mindless customers. There's so much a person is willing to take for ten bucks an hour, and there are times when we're compelled to say "screw this, I'm out."

Selling a lawnmower is hard enough without a total stranger popping in to tell you that you're the devil for not giving it to him for free. There's a small but strong contingent of entitled people with laughable demands who seem to show up grabbling for free stuff. They could be anyone from a mom to a CEO to a guy in a parking lot. You don't want to have to deal with entitled people and their demanding boldness.

It's not like anyone does anyone a favor just so they can get something in return, but holy crap, maybe a thanks or at least some acknowledgement of appreciation would be nice? Sometimes it just so happens you try to do the right thing and you get burned. It makes it real hard to want to do anything for other people. At the end of the day all you can do is hope whoever you were trying to help was just an entitled person making laughable demands. Someone on AskReddit got a thread going about those small inconvenience curses that could drive people absolutely insane. It could be the socks that are eternally wet, or maybe that strange itch that can develop on your hand, but you're never able to actually scratch it. Ugh. Just thinking about that makes the blood boil. People get way too devilishly inventive with these small inconvenience curses. At least we have a solid picture of what Heck looks like now. 

There is no pleasing some customers. Seriously, sometimes an angry, miserable, frustrating, entitled customer is just in the building to look for a fight. There are even some extremely stupid ones like when the complaining customer isn't even in the right store. Don't even think that anyone is safe from Karens online, like this lying Karen who got decimated by the owner's response.

They said with this whole "free market" thing that we should be getting good products or services at a reasonable prices, but sometimes that's just not the case. Other times, you get what you pay for. Sometimes a company is having a bad day, and other times it's just common knowledge that you won't be getting a good steak from the dollar store. Other than products, there are things people did that made them say "never again."

The English language has some confusing peculiarities to it that result in English struggles, but heck, most languages have some phonetic and semantic weirdness winding through them. And English isn't the only strange language. Here's a post defending the English language and how it's not the only weird language out there.

Someone on AskReddit got a thread going about various big scams that are somehow allowed. Some people just seem to get away with things that they absolutely never should've. We'll never understand it. 

People often think that it's the kids who are the most frustrating part of a teacher's job. The fact is, true headaches can come from a disengaged or spiteful parent. Throw on some anger, caginess and a false sense of superiority and you've got yourself a real winner of a parent-teacher conference. Someone on AskReddit got a thread going about the things that drive people the most insane. We've all got that one thing that when it enters our field of consciousness, it just brings our blood to an enraged boil instantaneously. It could be someone on the subway insisting on playing their favorite Justin Bieber song, on their phone's speakers. Or, maybe it's the awful moment that a TV show gets cancelled after ending their last season on a total cliffhanger that had you completely emotionally invested. 

Someone on AskReddit got a thread going about people's most intense petty grudges. We've all crossed paths with someone at one point or another that just managed to get under our skin like none other. Even reading through these is enough to get some secondhand frustration going. 

Work. We need to do it to not be hungry and cold, but other than that it's missing some benefits. Depending on their job, most people would rather just sit and be bored. And everyone's attitude at work is a strange combination of trying to do as little as possible while blaming everyone around them for doing as little as possible. It can get rough. At least there are work memes to blow off work steams.

Most everyone has that one button that when pushed, basically brings their blood to a boil instantaneously. Maybe some of these will hit painfully close to home. You might even find yourself grinding your teeth in frustration, halfway through reading this, without even realizing it. 

It's stupid that almost everyone has to do something they don't particularly like most days so that they can afford to eat and live somewhere. At the same time, that's part of the deal of being alive. At least we have work memes to put some catharsis in our lives and give ourselves a chance to agree that waking up, commuting, and dealing with customers is a dumb bummer.
