Call Center Won't Give Employee Raise, Malicious Compliance Ensues

Call centers sound like they can be quite the soul sucking kind of establishment to work at. You regularly deal with irrational and unwarrantedly enraged customers that just refuse to recognize that there is in fact a human being on the other end of the call. And then you throw into the mix a company like the one we have in this story of malicious compliance...yikes, indeed. We're just grateful that this particular story has a happy ending for the poor employee that had to deal with a company trying to screw them over.

Call center won't give an employee a raise, so they go for the malicious compliance. | r/MaliciousCompliance Join u/ikarosswings0 1d Give raise or replace XL Almost decade ago worked call center doing over phone tech support worked there almost 7 years until fired because desk phone they issues malfunctioned 6 weeks straight (despite my continued twice week complaints They didn't even try appeal my unemployment either

Customer Counts Chicken Bits In KFC Bucket, Gets Labeled Karen

This parent was not about to let a KFC employee get away with carelessly miscounting the number of chicken bits in their bucket. But alas, when they proceeded to call out the employee and manager for their counting error, they were then labeled Karen by the rest of the family. A tough go, for sure. I mean, it was three pieces after all. That's almost a whole meal right there. Come on, guys.

Karens just keep bursting into tattoo shops like this male Karen who didn't believe this tattoo shop owner and get a reckoning. It's a bummer to have to deal with people who try to get vengeance when they can't get a deal they wanted, but that's a part of life. Why does it have to be a part of life? Just ask the Karens like this one who got booted by an IT employee.

Customer Reports Ordering Issue On Restaurant's Site, Site Comes Undone

Man, to have been the tech support involved with this conundrum. What started as an innocent enough update from the customer about the online ordering system not working, ended up evolving into a full on mess. Technology can be wildly frustrating like that. One little piece being moved around can bring the whole dang tower toppling down.

Check out some more tech support drama with this belligerent customer who wouldn't cooperate with tech support.

Store Mislabels Computer's Price, Customer Buys It, Store Demands It Back

If something in life seems too good to be true, that's probably because it is. Take this customer's experience with being able to buy an $89 computer. Turns out that $89 computer was actually supposed to be over $800. Whoops. With that being said, the customer didn't do anything wrong. That doesn't mean that they're not going to be potentially legally implicated if they refuse to meet that store in the middle. Seems like quite the tricky and awkward situation.

Store puts the wrong price on a computer, store wants it back, and customer refuses | AITA refusing return computer bought after store called and told paid wrong price Last week went local pawn shop sell some stuff. Man Tries To Scam Hotel, Hotel Squashes Attempt With Camera Evidence

Man, the people in this world that try to lazily pull fast ones on the hard working folks in the customer service industry, are something else. This guy was certainly in over his head when he tried to collect a refund from a hotel with a crappy excuse. He wasn't ready for them to have the camera evidence to debunk his little scam. Nice try, bud.

Complaints That Made Customer Service Workers Snap

It's as if some people are truly born into this world with no shame. Take the guy who continually pestered the waitress about having an under-poured beer, was proven wrong, and then still had the shameless audacity to demand a refund from there. It takes a certain kind of nasty person to go out of their way to make someone working customer service detest their job more than they already (likely) do.

Customer service workers describe the complaints that made them snap | flippy floppy @annikarainbow 00 Replying Keally22 Lmao red robin is worst. One time had woman complain her salad cold also had one customer tell they were "allergic ice brought them iced water and then they dumped water on floor

The Weirdest Things Drive-Thru Employees Saw

Cars are a strange semi-private space, and they give people an extra sense of security to be weird. That makes it harder to work a drive-thru job where you spend all day leering into people's cars. Some customers are even looking to freak employees out, which has gotta make work a little rough. For more customer service stuff, here are weird things Walmart employees witnessed and some totally mindless things said by credit card customers.

Weirdest Things Walmart Employees Witnessed

If there's one thing that seems glaringly obvious in these stories of weird days on the job for Walmart employees, it's that there's pretty much never a normal day on the job when you're working at Walmart. Also, people really need to stop using Walmart aisles as their own personal bathrooms.

Karen Thinks Employee Is Line Cutter, Gets Humbled

The garden variety Karen is known for obstructive outbursts, and this one was no different when she convinced herself that an employee was trying to ruin her day. Even given an explanation, she wasn't ready to back down. For another Karen with nonsensical demands, here's a Karen who demanded a delivery driver check her groceries out.

Male Karen Doesn't Believe Tattoo Shop Owner, Gets Reckoning

The guy basically forced himself into the building and demanded a tattoo, even when he was told it couldn't be done. And to top it all off, this male Karen honestly didn't believe that the owner of a tattoo place might have a tattoo on his head. For a Karen at odds with another business owner, here's a lying Karen getting decimated by an owner's response. For some tattoo tales, here are some stories of tattoo choices that had people asking questions.

Customer Called Out for Making Store His Personal Gem Show

It's no secret that online review sections have become a battleground of sorts between entitled customers and concerned owners with a whole lot of time on their hands. Dumbest Customer Complaints Employees Had to Hear

There is no pleasing some customers. Seriously, sometimes an angry, miserable, frustrating, entitled customer is just in the building to look for a fight. There are even some extremely stupid ones like when the complaining customer isn't even in the right store. Don't even think that anyone is safe from Karens online, like this lying Karen who got decimated by the owner's response.

Hotel Guest Refuses To Be Reasonable, Gets Kicked Out

Gotta love it when the customer gets rightfully fired. This particular hotel guest refused to be reasonable at all when it came to their checkout time. Even after the pregnant, exhausted concierge met them in the middle, they still proceeded to repeatedly complain and harass them. So, the concierge decided it was time for them to leave. Seems like the very fair and right move to make.
