It's a simple enough meme, and it fills our hearts with boundless joy. I mean, who knew that R2-D2 "in Italy" could go on to inspire such a hilarious, incomprehensible result. Seriously, whatever that "translation" is 10 times really fast. Therein lies the beauty of it. The force is strong with this meme.

So we're all in agreement, the Star Wars special editions were a huge waste of time that offered nothing new to three perfectly fine movies. So sue me, I don't think Greedo shooting first adds anything to the story.
This, however, is good stuff. The YouTuber Auralnauts replaced all of R2-D2's beeps with an actual voice that kind of sounds like Elijah Wood. It does sound like Elijah Wood, right?
Anyway, this is a fun video that reminds me of those videos of BB-8 with Jean Ralphio's voice dubbed in.

Japanese appliance brand Aqua has created this adorable and functional R2D2 miniature refrigerator for exactly that. As if having an R2 mini-fridge wasn't cool enough, the unit is also capable of going wireless and delivering your beverages to you by remote control! Who needs a significant other to bring you a beer when you've got a robot who doesn't judge your drinking habits?
The fridge, which I'm hereby dubbing the R2Beer2, is set to hit the market some time next year.
