Times People Really Screwed Up at Work

Humans aren't perfect, so naturally we're bound to make mistakes at work. It's when we're using expensive tools, or facing ten angry customers that a really big screw-up can have some extreme consequences. In the right field of work, one misplaced screw or faulty measurement can turn into literally millions of dollars of losses. We try not to think about those.

Work Memes to Blow Off Some Work Steams

It's stupid that almost everyone has to do something they don't particularly like most days so that they can afford to eat and live somewhere. At the same time, that's part of the deal of being alive. At least we have work memes to put some catharsis in our lives and give ourselves a chance to agree that waking up, commuting, and dealing with customers is a dumb bummer. Here's a thread about frustrating, entitled customers.

Employee Walks Out, Gets a Promotion

After dealing with a nightmare manager trying to force an impossible shift, this employee just said screw it and went home. Luckily, someone else saw the situation for what it was and actually made things right. It's rare but sometimes a higher up is actually sensible, like this cool CEO who fired a VP who pulled rank.

Boss Orchestrates Their Own Downfall

The biggest kicker in this ridiculous scenario is that a competent boss who was actually pulling their weight would've said just this, but then nothing would've happened because the competent boss was fulfilling the duties of their job. Unfortunately, this boss was not doing their job. So, after the employee complied the boss was exposed for not doing their job. If they'd never said anything, they would've been a whole lot better off.

Jerk Company Overworks And Underpays Female Employee, She Gets Last Laugh

Companies that put their employees through the ringer, overworking them while underpaying them, are the worst. It could be a toxic manifestation of higher-ups being so far removed from the inner-workings of the business itself that they have no appreciation for all the hard work that goes into the system, to keep it functioning. Or, maybe it's a willful blind ignorance. Either way, we love nothing more than seeing an employee fight back against a company that wronged them (and other coworkers). This woman's revenge was the definition of professional.

Crazy Boss Tries To Overwork Employee, Doesn't Pay Accordingly, Regrets It

Man, this boss was clearly blind to their own ignorant toxicity. If you're going to hire someone and pay them double the person that is training the new person, there is clearly a monstrous hole in your logic. And then for the employee to take that well warranted concern to their boss, and have it thrown right back in their face? Get out of there with that. Fortunately, it sounds like inconsiderate boss learned their lesson.
