Work Karen Makes Everyone Get Up for 4 AM Meeting

Time zones can be a bastard especially when the person you'r dealing with has no concept of empathy. And when the tables were turned, she couldn't even manage to skip happy hour and had to give up. Here's another entitled coworker who demanded a party and took all the leftovers. You can't help but be fascinated by the antics of an entitled Karen, like this one who tried and failed to scam a restaurant.

Horrible Coworkers People Had to Endure

Work comes with a distinct set of expectations. As long as people are basically cooperative and don't get on each other's nerves, everyone can walk away happy. But sometimes a person's explosive personality, annoying habits, or smell can get in the way of that. Particularly bad coworkers will even steal lunches or use sonograms to trick their boyfriend.

Employee Asks HR to do Their Job, Reprimand Magically Disappears

As much incentive as people have to do their own jobs, a certain proportion of us have the exact opposite going on. This HR person was trying to do the bare minimum in order to wrongfully reprimand an employee over their timesheets, and it just so happened when everyone had to compile a detailed report, things fell into place. For more work shenanigans, here's an employee who outsmarted HR by citing guidelines as well as an employee who had their wages docked illegally and crushed their boss's dreams.

Employee does nothing wrong, reprimand goes away when HR has to do their job.

Company Thinks Employee's Being Dishonest With Time Logging, Learns Otherwise

Sometimes, you can find yourself playing by all the rules in the book, and still you end up getting in trouble. In fact, there are cases where people that are bent on enforcing all the rules to an impossibly strict standard (or the rules might just suck to begin with) only end up being their own worst enemies in the end. One can only imagine what kinds of priceless expressions must've been written on the faces of this employee's bosses'.

A company assumes that an employee's being dishonest about their time logging, and employee proves otherwise.

Greedy Company Man Tries To Screw Over Union, It Backfires

Man, you've got to sink very, very low to consider trying to screw over a union. It sounds like Willard definitely misplaced his moral compass. The guy was out there apparently trying to make it look like there weren't enough unionized workers to do the job, and then subcontracting the positions to his friend's company. No good, at all. Well, as these things will often shake out, it certainly blew up in Willard's face.

Employee Outsmarts Unfair HR By Citing Guidelines

Even though it a lot of jobs feel like we're signing away our lives to be at the total mercy of a giant corporation, sometimes we actually have more power than we think. This person was getting jerked around but it turned out they had some extra rights up their sleeve. Even small affronts can motivate employees, like this worker whose wages were illegally docked so he crushed his boss's dreams.

Weird Encounters Delivery Drivers Had

It used to be that pizza delivery drivers bore the brunt of the weirdness, but now that people can have basically anything brought to their door, it widens the scope of strange and intriguing situations strangers can have with each other. 20 pizzas to an elks lodge? Makes sense. 20 bunches of bananas to a hotel room at 3 in the morning? Well, hopefully they tip well as an apology for what you're about to see.

Employee Tells Coworkers Everyone Can't Afford A House, Awkwardness Ensues

This employee decided to ask the moral judges of Reddit's AITA community whether or not they were in the wrong for telling their coworkers that everyone can't in fact afford to buy a house. Apparently their coworkers didn't take too kindly to them sharing that widely recognized reality. If anything it seems like their coworkers could've handled the sentiment that they shared with just a bit more grace and understanding.

Bizarre Architecture And Straight Up Job Fails

We love nothing more than some good old fashioned job fails and while we're at it, strange and unexplainable architecture. It makes our world go round. Also, if anything job fails are a great way to relieve the pain you might be carrying after you had a particularly gnarly day at work. We all mess up. It's easy to forget that nobody's safe from a failed attempt.

Supervisor Demands Employee Use Lint Roller Before Meeting

It sounds like this supervisor had their hands full when it came to trying to enforce some kind of universal standard for how employees should present themselves at virtual meetings. These are strange and tumultuous times, no doubt. And some folks are certainly having a harder time muddling through this time than others. With that being said, it sounds like Annie might've pushed the boundaries a bit too far, in terms of what the company expected from her. But you be the judge on whether or not this supervisor was ultimately in the wrong.

Coworker Pitches Fit Over Son Being Served Red Wine Pasta Sauce

This voluntary chef decided to ask the moral judges of Reddit's infamous AITA community whether or not they were in the wrong for serving their coworker's son red wine pasta sauce. Apparently the coworker staged a bit of a freakout because they believed the red wine pasta sauce was alcoholic, and that their son was basically served some red wine. It sounds like someone might benefit from doing just a little bit of research before pitching a fit. Alcohol has a tendency to burn off in many foods it's cooked with.

Boss Demands Daily Email Check, Employee Puts It On Time Sheet

It's amazing how quickly stupid tasks become irrelevant the moment it starts costing the company money. The powers that be came down and told this part-timer that they'd have to check their email daily, so naturally, for this employee, it seemed like that should count on company time. For another one, here's a micromanager who demanded too many updates, so an employee fought back with even more updates.

Employee Realizes They Were Used In Work Plot Years Later

Work politics are weird, and having a shady figure with unclear motives is pretty much a standard boss. In this case a guy realized that his boss hadn't ignored his advice, but used it in order to prove a consultant wrong. Sort of weird and deceptive, but also clever and effective. For a boss with a more direct approach, here's a boss who used an eye gag to remove problem customers.

Coworker Steals Lunches, Gets Called Out In Escalating Notes

People that steal other people's food are pretty much the worst. Especially when you consider the scenario where you have one human being just trying to muddle through their day's tasks and eat a meal they brought for themselves while they're at it, only to realize that said meal's been shadily confiscated by an inconsiderate coworker who decided they'd steal it. You've got to love the way that HR handled the debacle as well. They didn't need to leave that message as a note on the fridge for everyone to see, but they did anyways.

Woman Expects Coworker To Give Her Free PTO Days, Lashes Out When Rejected

And the coworker dramas continue. It seems as if they'll never end. While we feel sympathy for this woman and the hardships she's had to muddle through, on top of the exhaustion of raising kids, it's just a bit entitled to expect your coworker to offer up their vacation days that they'd been saving up for their own meaningful vacation. Definite guilt trip vibes in this story. For some more juicy coworker drama check out this vegan employee who told their coworker that they should eat their burger outside, and the escalation that ensued
