With a flimsy roof above our heads, dozens of replacement tenants waiting in the wings, and greedy landlords looming over us until the lease is up, the housing situation is getting more and more uncertain. When you're working two jobs and can hardly make ends meet at the end of the month, the last thing you want to hear at the family gathering is constant nagging about homeownership.

Simpler times

Quiet quitting is a phenomenon that is shaking today's workforce like a punch to the jaw. While nepo-baby executives quiver in their leather chairs up in their ivory towers, quiet quitting provides a refuge for employees that many have never felt before. Minimum effort for minimum pay offers solace and peace to employees, especially when our alternative reality sets in.

It's about time we read some good news. Usually, neighborhood stories are all about neighbor drama, HOA's, and the Karen next door ruining a pleasant Sunday afternoon, but this next tale is truly a wholesome one.
