If you're friends with your boss on Facebook, you're doing it wrong.
It's amazing how quickly stupid tasks become irrelevant the moment it starts costing the company money. The powers that be came down and told this part-timer that they'd have to check their email daily, so naturally, for this employee, it seemed like that should count on company time. For another one, here's a micromanager who demanded too many updates, so an employee fought back with even more updates.
Sonny Truyen used rage. It's not very effective...
The hype for Pokémon GO is very real and people are losing their jobs over it. Sonny Truyen, an Australian who just started working at Singapore property site 99.co as the vice president of digital marketing, has been fired for posting an angry rant about not having Pokémon GO yet.
Sonny got into a spat with a Singaporean named Adelene Kong, which started when Sonny called Singapore a "sh*t country."

Sometimes you can find yourself situated in the gig that you grew up thinking you wanted all along, only to come to realize that the job is being proactively ruined by an absolutely terrible boss. A terrible boss will effortlessly stink up a peaceful environment with tidal waves of toxicity and anxiety, and make the rest of the employees that are just trying to get their jobs done feel like their tasks are insurmountable. If anything, it wouldn't hurt to keep these bad boss behaviors in mind for your future gigs.
And that's why it pays off in the long run to document everything. This is a genuine professional revenge. You love to see it. If you enjoyed this tale of pro revenge, check out another glorious tale of revenge involving some incompetent managers who made the grave mistake of firing their all star employee.
Work. We need to do it to not be hungry and cold, but other than that it's missing some benefits. Depending on their job, most people would rather just sit and be bored. And everyone's attitude at work is a strange combination of trying to do as little as possible while blaming everyone around them for doing as little as possible. It can get rough. At least there are work memes to blow off work steams.
Gotta love a manager with a sense of humor to match their intolerance for idiotic customers. Employees have dealt with some ridiculous customer demands, having to debase themselves for the flawed and almighty " customer is always right" mentality. Here's another one where a customer weaponized a tip jar to defeat a Karen.
We've seen our fair share of bosses that never should've been put in their places of power in the first place. With that being said, it's nothing short of deeply satisfying to see a boss show the rest of the world why they were given the reins like they were. This boss pulled off some straight up tech support magic, and left everyone else in speechless awe. Pretty awesome that she was able to extract that number in under 8 minutes. You don't even need to know what that means to appreciate the timely manner with which she pulled it off.
When you're already going above and beyond to cover someone else's loose ends, it's a breath of fresh air to be ordered to just do your job. This boss didn't know what they were getting into when they tried to tell this employee to simply work their scheduled hours. For another dumb boss story, here's a boss who orchestrated their own downfall.
