Can we talk about this instead of a dumb red coffee cup?
George's Senate Coney Island in Northville, MI, has made a promise. For anyone that has no where to go on Thanksgiving, they can come to the restaurant for a free meal.
The store owner, an immigrant from Greece, says he has been doing this for years, inviting the homeless or others with no where to go to participate in the tradition.
"It makes my heart feel good to do it, and help a little bit," he told WILX.

Thanksgiving as we know it is only celebrated in America, but many other countries have their own unique celebrations which are all meant to give thanks and celebrate the end of the season's harvest. Presumably, they all copied America because they thought our idea was so cool. Here are a few of the more famous festivals.

By a Show of Hands runs an annual hand turkey art contest; while there are separate categories for kids, adults, and pros, nothing says Thanksgiving like a hand turkey crafted by a child. The site is taking submissions until the 27th, so your kids (or you!) still have time to enter!
In her new series "Thanksgiving Special," Hannah Rothstein imagines what turkey dinner might look like through the eyes of some famous artists (Like Van Gogh's above). She's also selling limited edition prints of the photos, with a portion of the proceeds going to a local food bank.
