Caroline Macrory started a trend by leaving gifts on the doorstep of someone who needed them and running away. She called this the Doorstep Challenge and this act of kindness has really caught on.
Even a few local businesses have joined in.

Macrory's goal is bringing people together to make life a little easier. She told Mashable, "Basically the concept of the ‘doorstep challenge’ is to reach out to those in our community who might be struggling at this time of year for one reason or another and spread a little Christmas cheer."
This dog was turning heads on his way to a first class airplane seat. The origin of this spoiled pup remains a mystery. Though onlookers may be snickering at this extra large dog being pulled around in a fancy cart like a Roman emperor, he's the one getting the last laugh. This dog is obviously living in the lap of luxury.
This woman posted a photo gallery of her story on Imgur which led to a diagnosis of a genetic disease that affects connective tissues called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS). She explains the backstory in the description of the follow up picture post:
Five months ago, I posted "The Story Of A Broken Dancer." In this post, I told the story of how all I've ever wanted was to be a professional dancer, but that countless injuries and unexplained medical issues were coming in between me and my dream. Well, after posting this, hundreds of Imgurians commented on the post and messaged me saying I should look at different conditions or diseases they thought I had, but one that I received overwhelmingly was "Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Hyper Mobility Type III." I looked into it and decided it was worth a shot to get the testing done, and as of this morning, I have been officially confirmed to have EDS.

We love us some clever comebacks from the online world's spicy silver tongues. As long as there's a comments section or people insist on clogging up social media feeds with mindless tweets and statuses that could've used a second set of eyes, and a dash of logic, we'll have other folks waiting eagerly nearby, ready to light them up in the comments section. We've also got that gem from the legend, Stephen Hawking. Check out some more confidence-shattering comebacks and insults over here.
This Facebook post advertised free cell doors for pickup and became a funny message to remind citizens out there to stay on the right side of the law. This is the whole post:
They didn't stop there though, it looks like Sergeant Colin Taylor stuck around to answer a few questions as well:
Mel Watts who has a pretty kickass personal blog already, which involves a whole lot of her shedding brutally honest light on the ups and downs of pregnant life/motherhood with a whiplike wit and hilarious self-awareness, might've just had her big break with this post. Yep, she went ahead and shot over a couple answers to the kinds of questions a lot of us might wonder at some point in our lives, but would never damn well ask.
