The collective opinion in the comments section for this particular AITA seems to be that this parent was not in the wrong. They simply insisted on teaching their daughter a lesson about not wasting food, and also not forcing your beliefs on others.

Sure, there's a lot of great advice out there in the form of life pro tips. But don't be fooled by all the comically bad life pro tips with zero shame. We don't support the use of these tips, be they illegal, completely wrong or just ridiculously stupid. That said if you can't tell the difference between these and actual good advice, there may not be much hope for you.
This quick and informative Tumblr thread addresses vegans and their occasional decision to not eat honey. It might be un-bee-lievable for some vegans to hear, but honey is where it's at. Check out another quality Tumblr thread, with this thread about a contortionist's quest for a burrito leaving a 7-11 cashier traumatized.

The story itself is pretty tragic, but where i gets interesting is this tumblr user shooting down everyone's knee-jerk reactions to the headline without actually reading the thing. In very tumblr fashion, the thread turned into a conversation about the realities of veganism, sort of like this tumblr post that called out vegans for not eating honey.
This is some solid nightmare material right here. These are just a few of the shots taken from the 'Eating E.T.' barbecue, which was a 'hands-on exploration of our intimate relations to other species, real and fictional.'
