Dumb Mistranslated Tattoos and Shirts that People Witnessed

In this wide world, we see a lot of hilarious translations and translation fails. Languages are complex and hard to understand completely. These frustratingly interesting observations on language and silly literal translations are a good example of that. This can come to a head when overzealous tourists try to get a tattoo in not only a language they don't understand, but in characters that are also completely foreign to them. Case in point, you don't want to misstep and end up as the "goldfish man"

If you're gonna commit to doing a Simpsons scene in real life, this is probably one of the safer ones. These two Swiss women decided to recreate a foodstravaganza across New Orleans, and the result is pretty incredible.

These German tourists were a little confused in Florida when they encountered a strange lack of sidewalks and non-existent pedestrian crossings.

33 Monumentally Stupid Questions Asked By Tourists

Tour guides see tourists do some really dumb things. If there's one thing to take away from these, it's that tourists are dumb. Not just kinda dumb. But like, real simple. Like, can't find their own ass kind of dumb. After a while it gets sad realizing these are the kind of people who represent you around the world.

Getting stuck in an elevator is a pretty common occurrence. Typically what happens is you let the staff know you're in there, and then some random dude shows up after a few minutes to calmly let you out. Maybe being in a different country freaked this family out to the point of hysteria, or maybe they've never seen an elevator before. Either way, the moment was a little more dramatic than it had to be.

Outraged Nation Of New Zealand Unites Against A Toxic Family Of Obnoxious British Tourists

Members of a certain British family have been classified as "worse than pigs," and they're in the process of being deported as we speak. The nation of New Zealand had enough. You don't dirty their beaches with reckless abandon. Auckland Mayor, Phil Goff, was quoted during his rage-riddled rant on a radio station, saying, "these guys are trash. They are leeches."

New Zealand's assistant general manager of immigration, Peter Devoy, provided the unsettled nation with the update they sorely needed to hear; and announced that they'd been issued a deportation notice on the grounds of "matters related to character."

This idiotic rescue attempt took place at Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone visitors are asked to stay at least 25 yards away from large animals and are not allowed to approach wildlife, however, this father-son duo wasn't about to let silly rules stop their heroic rescue attempt.

Law enforcement rangers were called when the father-and-son approached the station "seriously worried that the calf was freezing and dying.” The calf was returned to its fam, and its rescuers were ticketed.
