The Sims

Someone on AskReddit asked for people to share the most messed up things they've ever done to their Sims. People take their Sims on all kinds of messed up journeys. It's as if Sims plays host to people's darkest ideas. Some very messed up sh*t. 

These life hacks will probably never have to be used again in all of human history, but the nostalgia is fun. If these had you pining for a simpler time of dial-up internet and bigger pants, then check these nostalgic images out.

The Sims does everything it can to try and "simulate" real life. In this case, a recent glitch has resulted in spawning what looks like a social services worker. This social services worker proceeds to take the kids away if you're not doing a good job at looking after them in your game. The Sims Wiki says that the social worker "will take away a baby, toddler, child, or pet if their needs drop too low, or in later games, if there are no more older Sims remaining in the household (i.e. due to death). They also will come to deliver adopted kids to their new family."

Numerous players are encountering this new glitch when their toddlers go to pick up a tablet, and then won't put it down, which results in them eventually disappearing into nothingness. 

Please dear God we hope these people don't have families of their own. The weirdly creative torture and absolutely psychopathic behavior people display when they're in control of simulated families only means that we are troubled, dark gods. The Sims has given birth to many creepy, strange and hilarious moments.

Some of these are so twisted we almost feel bad for laughing at them. Is The Sims video game merely shedding a disturbing spotlight on how wildly depraved, immoral, and genuinely creative people can get, when the sky is pretty much the limit? 

Is it bad that this just makes me want to play The Sims even more now? 

The most hilariously tolerant video game of all time. 

Something about The Sims compels people to embrace their vaguely wicked, entirely hilarious sides to create some literal nightmares. We're not sure if we want to cry or cheer for humanity when it comes to these. 

We can ALWAYS count on The Sims players to leave us utterly bewildered, if not traumatized, when it comes to creating hellish scenarios in an otherwise 'innocent' video game. These morbid geniuses took dark humor to new and alarming heights.

I need more of these Sims 'dumps' in my life, dude. If only I could've better document/been aware of how outright perverse and seven kinds of crazy this game was, while playing it as a kid. Because I absolutely don't play it as a current self-proclaimed manchild. *laughs in sims*

Sims is without a doubt the OG of strange and twisted game glitches, and I'll never get tired of ANY of these.

While most of us spent our adolescence torturing Sims by, say, putting them in a swimming pool and taking the ladder away, others simply enjoy the creepy world of these gibberish-talking people simulations.
