Just in case you haven't seen "Ratatouille" you might consider remedying that as soon as possible. The movie is brimming with good vibes, and packs a wonderful storyline that follows an initially aimless, aspiring chef in Paris that ends up being able to ride on the coattails of a rat. But that's all we'll give away for now. This viral video from Tik Tok user, mmmjoemele, has his dad being transformed to be the spitting image of Ratatouille's notorious food critic, Anton Ego.

For some more entertaining "Ratatouille" content check out this Tumblr thread that pays homage to all of the film's struggling protagonist, Linguini's, struggles.

Tumblr Users Analyze "The Incredibles" To Oblivion

Talk about an Incredible discourse. We can always count on the wandering minds of Tumblr to put their heads together, and churn out some real gems. This particular roundtable discussion centers on the infamous film, "The Incredibles." Maybe one of the best superhero movies of all time. So many easter eggs and intricate patterns throughout the film. The only question is how much of what's being discussed was intentional on the part of the filmmakers vs. pure coincidence?

This very short POV video shows the full set of emotions; the fear, pain and loss of being the I in Pixar at the beginning of any Pixar film. It must be a sad, horrible life. You know that lamp is coming, and it wants what you have. And you're just a letter so you can't do anything about it.

Cars!

Nobody's favorite Pixar movie is Cars, even though it is far and away the most profitable Pixar film. However, if you ever had any biological questions aout the Cars franchise, which I know you have, this video will save you a lot of time.

YouTuber The Film Theorists have once again thrown another crazy, obsessive conspiracy theory that take every aspect of the film from its magical origins to their killjoy conclusions. Connections between the Pixar movies must exist in unified universe, so he can force theories like the Cars in Cars are bugs or something.

Anyway, these are impressive and entertaining ideas, but also not that important. I'm not sure why you would spend so much time only on the surface of a film, instead of actually engaging with the meaning of it, but hey it's just a theory... a film theory.

When a movie is played around the world, most people only think about the difference in terms of dialogue. Is it dubbed or subtitled is usually a go to question, and then people claim they don't like either. Who wants to read movies anyway?

But Pixar always goes the extra mile, and instead of just leaving their audio team to dub in different languages, animators actually make changes to the films to make them more relatable to international audiences. They're overachievers.

Some of those differences are laid out in this video from the Oh My Disney YouTube channel. Check it out.

This delightful couple is celebrating 60 years of matrimony with a duet of the theme to Pixar's Up on piano. They have been playing piano duets together since they were first married, so what better way to celebrate their love? If they aren't a real life Ellie and Carl, I don't know who is.

Is somebody cutting onions in here?

Pixar technical director Alonso Martinez made this adorable little robot that's sure to give you the awwws. Described as a "desk companion," Mira is capable of tracking faces in order to play a game of peek-a-boo with the user. According to Martinez,

Mira is a desk companion that makes your life better one smile at a time. This project explores human robot interactivity and emotional intelligence. Currently Mira uses face tracking to interact with the users and loves playing the game “peek-a-boo”. As her understanding of the world and people's emotions get richer so will her ability to interact with people in a more meaningful way.

When Mira sees you during a game of peek-a-boo, she wobbles and chirps with excitement, which surely makes long days stuck at a desk easier. There's no word on whether or not Martinez plans to bring Mira to the consumer market, but if he does, you can bet I'll be first in line to buy one.
