Skillfully Unprofessional "Not My Job" Moments

Sometimes it would take too much effort to do something the right way, so we resort to stunningly unprofessional "not my job" moments. We can't say we're proud of them, but boy do they save a whole lot of time. Sometimes it's actually harder to do it wrong. As long as there are annoying bosses and Friday afternoons, we'll have wonderfully incompetent "not my job" moments.

Wonderfully Incompetent "Not My Job" Moments

Sure, it's in everyone's best interest to go home early but sometimes it can help to get an extra second eyes on that bench you put right under a drain pipe. We're not complaining, we like seeing workplace incompetence and wonderfully unprofessional "not my job" moments, so keep it up everyone.

Wonderfully Incompetent Failures of Design

There wouldn't be design without a healthy number of design fails. There's people putting telephone poles in the middle of roads, goofing up headlines, photoshopping the ever-loving reality out of their ads, and making classic stupid signs. Work in any field long enough and you'll see your fair share of wonderfully unprofessional "not my job" moments. "Hey man, they told me to paint the wall. They didn't say anything about not painting over the security camera lense." Whether it's an honest mistake, a case of neglect or straight up dumbassery, things often don't get done the way they should. Unprofessional Moments of Finely Tuned Incompetence

Not everyone is super great at what they do. Is that bad in the long run? Probably, yes. But for now we get some wonderfully unprofessional "not my job" moments. People make some terrific misspellings, playground slides that go straight off the roofs of tall buildings, and incomprehensible construction decisions.
