Before there were loot boxes, there was just the Nintendo Gamecube. It just keeps getting better and better.
daftmike, an avid gamer, built his own version of a mini NES using a 3D printer, a Raspberry Pi mini computer, and some NFC chips; and it all comes complete with a fully functional cartridge slot. It somehow gets better though...using an app on his phone he can reprogram each cartridge on the fly.

Cultural and media stereotypes do? Oh... well okay then.
