Ariane Sherine got a fun thread going about people's most ridiculous misunderstandings. So many of us can fall through the cracks when it comes to bits of common knowledge. Maybe we're out there completely misinterpreting logos, or maybe we're unknowingly completely botching the pronunciation of names. At the very least, these moments of confusion might make you feel better about yours.

Someone on AskReddit asked for people to share things they're aware of that people wrongfully think are scams, but actually are nothing of the sort. Those crazy things like the dentist and sites that require you to enter your credit card information before you can purchase their legitimate products, are actually just around to help you. The paranoid suspicions are fair in a world that can feel like it's just trying to pull one over on you, too often.
