Wholesome Mechanic Helps Woman Who Got a BS Quote

Usually if you hear a retail story it's gonna be about how horribly entitled a customer is. However, this time it's about a customer who seriously needed help and found exactly the right person in a mechanic on a slow day. For more wholesome stories, here's one about a senior who mistook a guy's car for a taxi or this lazy genius school project story.

Dumb Things People Did to their Own Cars

Here are stories, mostly from mechanics, who had to witness the aftermath of people's horrible automobile decisions. Some out of negligence, some from people who wanted their car to look cool and put form over function, and others who were just plain stupid. People are pretty ignorant about their own automobiles. Here are tumblr users getting schooled on physics and car safety, and here are people who parked like jerks.

Mechanics share dumb things people did to their own cars | Had customer once who had their oil light come on and couldn't figure out top oil up. He thought might have worked like his boat motor so he poured jug oil his fuel tank.

The title says it all. These guys have an airboat style fan that they've strapped to a tasteful sofa and thrown that on some wheels. And they're off to get some food. What a marvel of engineering.

Dude Gets Screwed By Mechanic, Takes It Up With Owner And Gets Results

It's pretty rare that people manage to solve stuff like this so gracefully. And what's really surprising is that the owner was on his side. He must have hated the manager already. Sometimes people stick up for themselves and get results, like this bicyclist who got hist by a jerk driver.

Mechanic tries to charge guy for a mistake they made, he talks to owner, he makes it right and the GM gets fired.

My 5 year old daughter learning a little automotive knowledge. Yes, I know you should mark your rods, but we are tearing down to the block, and getting all new guts. P.S. That is mostly built up old mud on her hands. We scrubbed her down about twenty minutes after this.
