J.K. Rowling Goes Off on Homophobic Haters and Shares Theories on Stopping Internet Trolls

Christian Voice, "a UK-based prayer and lobby group praying for national repentance and working for godly government" went after Olympic diver Tom Daley after he was knocked out of 10m platform dive in the semifinals and J.K. Rowling was there to have his back.

Along with J.K. Rowling, there were numerous other accounts who chimed in to give their two cents. This sparked an online argument on how to properly deal with a troll.

Here's what J.K. had to say:

J.K. Rowling writes that Ilvermorny was a magical school of witchcraft and wizardry, founded by a pureblood Irish wizard named Isolt Sayre in the 17th century. Ilvermorny sat atop the highest peak of Mount Greylock enshrouded by powerful concealment enchantments.

Sayre was a descendant of Salazar Slytherin and the renowned Irish witch Morrigan. Sayre lived with her parents in a small Irish town till the day her mother's estranged sister Gormlaith Gaunt (pureblood zealot) murdered Sayre's parents and kidnapped her away to Hag's Glen to stop her from marrying a muggle.

A decade later, following imprisonment and continued attempts at indoctrinating Sayre, she stole her aunt's wand, and managed an escape.

Sayre went on to pose as a Muggle boy, sailing to the 'New World', where she came across a wealth of magical creatures and fellow wizards that'd ultimately help her create Ilvermorny.

The four Ilvermorny houses are named after magical creatures:

  • Horned Serpent – a ‘great horned river serpent with a jewel set into its forehead’
  • Pukwudgie – ‘a short, grey-faced, large-eared creature’
  • Thunderbird – a creature that ‘can create storms as it flies’
  • Wampus – ‘a magical, panther-like creature that is fast, strong and almost impossible to kill’

J.K. Rowling, in her never ending quest to become everyones "cool aunt" on Twitter, has offered up some inspiration in the form of rejection letters.

The pictured letters are both tiny and a little blurry but if you put on your reading glasses you might see that one is a polite and short dismissal and the other is apologetic and offers some helpful tips after saying "No, thank you."

This was part of a discussion where Rowling also answered questions and, as usual, offered a response to a fan that was both supportive and wise.

See, just like everyone else, J.K. Rowling got rejected a few times before becoming an international sensation. Take away her fame and she still gets rejected every now and then.

JK Rowling spent her day on Twitter congratulating parents of Harry Potter-themed children. Meet Hermione, who was named for the character in Rowling's magnum opus, and Sophia, whose mother read HP while she was pregnant, which probably was not the cause of Sophia's facial birthmark, but hey, magic happens.

Author J.K. Rowling is known for her scathing quips toward people who say things that are sexist, racist, homophobic or generally awful. Also she wrote the very, very famous Harry Potter Series.

This time she tweeted back to a Donald Trump spokeswoman who made a zenophobic remark regarding Americans born outside the U.S. who are (or would like to be) leaders of the country.

Ouch, Katrina Pierson. You need a freezing spell for that burn?

After Harry Potter author and resident Twitter Goddess JK Rowling tweeted a message of love and admiration for Ireland's recent gay marriage vote outcome by proposing a marriage between Dumbledore and Gandalf, the Westboro Baptist Church (regarded as the resident cesspool of humanity) challenged her fantastic meme by saying they'd picket any such union:

Rowling shut them down deftly, but one twitter user suggested that may not have been the right thing to do:

JK rebutted by saying the WBC wasn't what was important, but rather her show of support for those who need it:

You go, JK Rowling!

“Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling revealed that Albus Dumbledore was gay back in 2007 at Carnegie Hall, but apparently some fans still can’t seem to wrap their heads around it.

On Twitter Tuesday, a girl named Ana Kocovic reached out to Rowling and asked about the decision to make the Hogwarts headmaster a homosexual.

“Thank you so much for writing Harry Potter,” Kocovic wrote. “I wonder why you said that Dumbledore is a gay because I can’t see him in that way.”

And just like magic, Rowling responded with the most perfect tweet ever.

The girl ended up thanking her and apparently deleting all of her tweets. Her profile now says her name is Gellert Grindelwald, whom Rowling previously said was Dumbledore’s love interest.

“Amazing answer,” she replied. “Yes you are absolutely right. Such an inspiration!”

CEO of News Corp Rupert Murdoch (aka the "Lord Voldemort" of media moguls) posted a very controversial message on Friday, saying that all Muslims should be held responsible for the actions of Islamic extremists.

He also added that "political correctness makes for denial and hypocrisy."

His tweets come just a few days after the terror attack on Charlie Hebdo in Paris.

Needless to say, this statement did not go over well with people online, especially the 23 percent of the world's population whom he just accused of terrorism.

But over the weekend, "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling came to their defense, firing back at Murdoch with this absolutely perfect Tweet.

She also took responsibility for the Spanish Inquisition, all Christian fundamentalist violence and televangelist Jim Bakker.
