Tumblr Goes Full Mythological Scientist On Dragon Evolution

A flamethrower is by no means a precision weapon. This fun Tumblr thread considers why dragons would have eyes on the sides of their heads. It sounds like it could be because they place the greatest value in the field of view (when considering other predators) over depth perception.

Tumblr thread addresses binocular vs. monocular vision | galahadwilder sudden, terrifying thought see an animal with its eyes set front, like wolves, or humans s usually predator animal.

Twitter Thread: The Human Body's Evolutionary Leftovers

Awesome, our bodies are like natural history museums. Apparently, we're brimming with evolutionary leftovers, and Dorsa Amir mapped out a way to play around with some of these in a fun Twitter thread.

Twitter Thread: The Human Body's Evolutionary Leftovers

An evolutionary anthropologist named, Dorsa Amir, shared a series of evolutionary leftovers that the human body seemingly carries for no reason at all. Kind of fun to look at the parts of the human body that have survived the test of time, and for what looks to us like no reason at all.

21 Times People Realized They Were Arguing with Someone Too Stupid to Argue With

At its core, an argument is a very common and simple act where two people who disagree on something deliberate over the truth and best course of action. When both parties are interested in a joint solution, consensus can be reached. The problem is that a solution also requires that the people who are arguing can actually agree on the point of the argument, how to actually argue, and the rules of objective reality. Here are some times when people realized they were talking to someone who couldn't be bothered to want to agree, didn't have the energy, or was just flat out dumb as rocks. In a similar vein, here are some of the dumbest arguments people have found themselves in.

You've probably learned about vestigial organs in Biology class by now. There are a lot of things that aren't important to humans any more but we've still held onto them in some way. If you've ever seen someone wiggle their ears, it's obvious.

This video shows some of those unnecessary parts and why we used to have them. It also goes into detail about the way that some humans have actually lost those extra pieces.

That's evolution at work.
