Dave wanted to propose to his girlfriend Jenna in a very unique and special way, so he commissioned a custom Lord of the Rings lightsaber from Vaders Vault.

The saber features a custom poem in the style of the famous One Ring poem engraved onto the hilt, a stunning purple power crystal and awesome Lord of the Rings sound effects. You can see it in action in the video above.

According to the Houston Police Department spokeswoman, Jodi Silva, confirms that 24-year-old Vidal Valladares will be charged with obstruction of highway, a Class B misdemeanor.

Conviction of the class B misdemeanor means Valladares faces a maximum sentence of 6 months in jail and a $2,000 fine. Ouch, that's a sizable hit to the wedding budget. Read the full post on the Houston Chronicle.

Crop your photos, people.

This couple thought they were letting people into their personal lives by announcing their engagement over Facebook.

But there was more to the photo than initially met the eye and their family was quick on the uptake.

Break found the slip up:

After bride-to-be Miranda announced that her man had finally popped the question, it seemed that their world could be nothing short of a fairy tale. I mean, everyone woman lives to announce their engagement on facebook it seems. Hilariously enough, that magical moment didn't really seem to be the case because Miranda had already accidentally tipped off her friends to look a little closer at the photo. She stated that her boyfriend didn't give her an actual ring, assuring everyone it will come later, which did nothing other than make people lean in a little too close to check out that ring.

And that's when everyone also started noticing the weird box in the corner.

Yeah, that box? It was a pregnancy test.

The scene played out over Facebook comments and you can easily imagine the happy bride-to-be put the pieces together.

And then, the admission.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

A rowboat capsized after a man proposed to his girlfriend.

This might not be the best way to begin an engagement...

A dragon row boat capsized Sept. 20 after a man proposed to his girlfriend, tossing 19 people into New York City's East River. They all had to be rescued by emergency services. Thankfully, everyone's fine.

As The Gothamist writes:

Officials say the boat was capsized by a succession of wakes from larger vessels passing nearby, not from the emotional turbulence that inevitably batters every couple who commits to spending their entire lives together in this f*cked up world, so there's no need to see this as a metaphor for their impending nuptials or the institution of marriage in general. But even if it is A Sign, everybody on board survived, so the takeaway is obviously that when you prepare for life's vicissitudes and wear a life preserver everything will be just fine!

Even without the surprise swimming, that can't have been too romantic of a proposal. I mean, those boats are crammed full of people trying to row their little hearts out. So, it's not like you could find privacy or even a moment's peace to look each other in the eyes, contemplating your future.

Those people look pretty cold after their rescue.

But she said yes! So, the day wasn't ruined for at least two of those people.

Turtle love is bodacious, dude!

That's what Jenn Kaminski, a self-described "unemployed creative" in LA, wants you to know. She's found true love, which just happens to be in the shape of a life-size Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Leonardo balloon.

The happy couple posted their announcement on Facebook this week in a set of hilarious engagement photos.

"Me and my bae decided to take a couple's photo shoot today. I think we look great," Kaminski wrote.

With the help of three of her friends, Kaminski was able to capture these precious moments forever. But why did they go through all of this trouble?

"We simply had a birthday balloon, an overabundance of free time and too many engagement photos in our Newsfeeds," they wrote.

Best wishes on your impending nuptials, Jenn and Leonardo. May your life be filled with years and years of pizza!
