All bark no bite

The arrogant customer in our next story who tried to swindle his customer service rep over the phone, money-grubbing for an extra $200 credit on his Internet bill. But for the working man struggling to keep his cool over the phone, this customer presented a particularly satisfying opportunity for malicious compliance that only comes once every blue moon.

Don't mess with your neighbor's hobbies. For most of us, our after-work hobbies are the things that keep us going week-over-week, so when this entitled mother decided to make her familial problems into the entire neighborhood's problem, one man had to push back.

Don't steal someone's seat unless you're prepared for a little backlash.

Excel may be boring as heck, but it comes in clutch sometimes in the workplace and whether we like it or not, it's a necessary evil at the office-- just like incompetent bosses. Strangely, every work scenario is plagued with a useless boss who parades around their department as if they know anything that goes on under the hood and it's rare that we see their arrogant ineptitude called out.

If you're an upcycler, a trinket-lover, or an antique aficionado, you've probably perused a garage sale or two. The thrill of a real-life treasure hunt is a visceral experience and the satisfaction you feel when you find just the perfect item is priceless. However, there are rules in the scavenging business–and when garage sale etiquette is breached, there could be some expensive consequences.

Nothing enrages a person quite like the search for parking, which is why the biker in our next story was such a considerate neighbor–although, the Karen next door didn't see it that way.

The grocery store is a lawless place.

Landlords have a nasty little habit of thinking they own you. As a renter, you're obligated to pay their mortgage and puff up a landlord's retirement fund, but at the end of the day, we owe them nothing but what's written on our lease. No landlord is entitled to claim your property–ever.

Who has your back? We can sometimes count on our friends to be in our corner, but when they're not around, who will step up and be a hero? If you're lucky (like the girl in our next story) the heroic white knight backing you up might just be a silent stranger online.

Do you ever wish you could take karma into your own hands? Unfortunately, life doesn't always give us opportunities to play with our tormentors, but for the brewery bartender in our next story, the karmic cookie crumbled in his favor after he caught a coworker red-handed stealing his tips.

Being a renter feels like you're perpetually stuck under the foot of the 1%. As you watch your paycheck drain from your bank account into your landlord's every month, it's tough not to feel a certain resentment and resistance to their wealth, since it's you who's paying their restaurant bills, buying their cars, and giving them the means to install indoor pools in their second home in Tahoe. But what if there was a way to get back at your greasy, slime-ball of a landlord?

Metal concerts are intense. For anyone who loves accidental punches to the face, getting their toes stomped, and eating the floor before having a 250lbs man help them back to their feet knows that a mosh pit is not a place for the weak. And it's certainly no place for a small child.
