"Passing the savings" on to the consumer is great and all, but what really matters is that you're passing the actual product to the consumer. Everyone has had a moment with lying packaging, trick containers and misleading and awful products that ended up being more cardboard and air than anything else. The lengths some manipulative and terrible products will go to is something that feels like it should only exist in cartoons.

Modern life gives us a huge amount of liberty over our diets, and some diets are definitely more healthy than others. Often parents are trying to keep their kids safe and healthy as best they can, but it seems like lying to your kid about a life-threatening allergy isn't the right way to go about it. It's kinda reminiscent of these vegans who were called fake because they feed their cat meat. Sometimes the exact opposite of this happens, like when this Tumblr user realized they actually had allergies.

We like to think there's some set of rigid standards that applies to all products and advertising, but the reality is that most companies will just do whatever they can get away with. That leads to some devious and horrible products designed to manipulate people. Seriously, a lot of products are designed by jerks.

The world is rife with manipulative and awful products and ads, and it's worth it to point them out when they're clearly unfair. There's wildly misleading labels, sandwiches made to look like they're twice as big as they actually are, and apps that make you pay money to delete them, just to name a few. It makes you start to think this stuff could be designed by the devil.

Soulless people will do anything to make a quick buck. They'll make uncomfortable standing airline seats to save on space, charge people to go to the bathroom, advertise a cheap product and charge a hundred dollars for shipping, literally hide fine print by making it the same color as the background, and do even more devious BS when they think of it. These are examples of deceptive and crappy products. Like seriously, these were designed by the devil.

Sometimes your expectations just lose to the reality of the situation. Is it us getting swept up in our own hopes and dreams, blinded by an optimistic outlook, or are we victims of lies being told? You be the judge. 

Everyone out there is trying to further their agenda, be it some wacky health BS, claiming credit for stolen work, or shirking responsibility from something they did wrong.
