The internet is not kind to the unreasonable adults who lie to and berate people in customer service. Abusive people like this are not-so-affectionately referred to as "Karens." While we've heard many stories of this kind of frustrating behavior, we often forget that many of them have families; some who see both sides, and some who are just ashamed.

In the old days, we tried to get our computers to work again by smacking the monitor or the hard drive. Now that we're developing technology that we can talk to, we don't have to get it to work by physically abusing it; we can verbally abuse it instead.
