In case you haven't heard, there's going to be a solar eclipse on Sunday! My understanding is that the closer you are to being in that red area the more of the solar eclipse you'll see.
As a point of reference, Seattleites will be seeing 83 percent of the sun's surface covered around sunset, while some national parks in the direct line will see a 95 percent eclipse.
Sure we have to wait until 2017 for the next 100 percent eclipse, but this is as close as we're getting in the meantime.
