Slate reporter Emily Shire poses the question to readers of whether or not vilifying Toddlers & Tiaras on TLC may be a bit classist. I personally just find it amusing that TLC still stands for "The Learning Channel."

The newest future-headcase star of Toddlers and Tiaras, Honey Boo-Boo the "Diva Queen," is a veritable hippogryph of reality television tropes: The lifestyle of a dolled-up child pageant queen and parents that go overboard with extreme coupon-ing. The result is just as terrifying as you would imagine.

Meanwhile, the clever folks over at I Am So Sorry have done what any self-respecting person would do and doctored screencaps with quotes from everyone's favorite misunderstood proto-existentialist philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. Twilight of the Tiaras indeed.
