Say what you will about the President, but there's no denying that his Twitter habits have given us hours of entertainment. His latest Twitter escapade was regarding Time Magazine's 'Person of the Year' issue. On Saturday President Trump tweeted "Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named "Man (Person) of the Year," like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!" Parodies from comedians such as Julia Louis Dreyfuss and Billy Eichner began pouring in, along with riffs on New Yorker cartoons. Here are some of our favorites.
And on a side note, here are some of our favorite tremendous Trump memes that are nearly unbelievable.
A sexy looking Facebook scammer tried to seduce him but Reddit user sebastiankirk (real name Frank Flemming Jensen) was not having it. Instead, Frank decided to respond from the other side with lyrics from Adele's hit song "Hello". Sandra seemed completely oblivious up until the point where she LOST HER DAMN MIND and started making death threats. Yikes.... some scammers can't take a joke (h/t dailymail)
Many of us see scammers as a dangerous nuisance, but played correctly, every scammer interaction can be an opportunity to get extremely weird toward a confused stranger. For more scammers messing up, here's the worst scammer the world's ever seen, as well as a scammer who got trolled with some Photoshop skills.
The British phone company, Tesco Mobile, has one of the most savage Twitter account on the internet.
Most people think it's fun and games to joke about Tesco's crappy coverage, or even the obnoxious auto-generated voice mails, but Tesco Mobile doesn't play.
Just take a look at some of these recent brutal comebacks and see for yourself.
PewDiePie has been confusing his fans for the last couple weeks and things finally came to a halt on Tuesday when his a stupid tweet got him suspended from Twitter. For weeks, the YouTube star has rattled the gaming community with screenshots from his Tuber Simulator, leaving fans with unanswered questions. Now, he's "joining" ISIS and people are losing their minds.
Wes Metcalfe posted a complaint on the wall of the Facebook page of British supermarket Tesco about finding a dead worm in a cucumber.
The complaint spiraled out of control and included Oasis covers, a funeral, and some of the best damn customer service in the history of the planet.
If Rob from Customer Care doesn't get a promotion/raise/bonus out of this, I will have officially lost all faith in humanity.
RIP William
SNL writer Josh Patten is trolling the President hard. The writer and comedian announced his new project "Responding To Trump Tweets Like They Were Texts" on July 16th, and we can't get enough of it. Patten's "text" responses are brief and colloquial, providing contrast that helps highlight just how over the top and exclamatory the President's tweets can be. Patten has declined to comment on the project, but we're definitely hoping to see more of these "text exchanges" in the future.
In most situations, it's rational for a commenter to question the Facebook publications on the legitimacy of a news story. Sites try to piggy-back on any trending topic and add their own voice.
But, when the site is actually A NEWS SOURCE, perhaps you should leave your comments to yourself.
