A 34-year-old New Zealand man convicted of shoplifting failed to show up for his court date. When the police asked about him on their Facebook page, he responded and had just two words to say to them: "hoo rah." Whether it's a taunt or an inarticulate cry of protest is open for interpretation.

Hagger claimed he had felt too ill to go to court, and is currently "planning on getting in touch with" the police.
