Here we have the latest in weird stuff coming out of Japan: a sudden and seemingly arbitrary fascination with black American culture. Something tells me that there's a secret Japanese weirdness community that gathers every now and then. They all gather in a big room, and throw a dart at a giant dartboard with different cultural trends on it. Whatever the dart lands on, that's what Japanese youth adopt. I wouldn't put it past them...

After Gabby Douglas's stellar gold medal performance in the individual all-around gymnastics competition on Thursday, NBC aired what can only be described as the worst-timed commercial in their long, tape-delayed history of Olympics coverage. Just watch for yourselves...
