La Petite Syrah in Nice, France likes nice people (no pun intended). So much so that if you ask them nicely for a coffee, you pay less than a quarter of the normal price.

"One coffee" .................... 7 euros.
"One coffee, please" .................... 4 euros, 25 cents.
"Hello, one coffee please" .................... 1 euro, 40 cents.
Just goes to show you: a little courtesy goes a long way.
