Floods are some of the most destructive natural phenomena out there, and here's a great example of how insane it is to get stuck in one. These guys in Brazil got a first hand experience of being stuck in a car with thousands of gallons of water rushing around and over them.

24 Unbelievably Bonkers Moments from History That Actually Happened

Yeah, we googled em. Pretty legit. We're as surprised as you. It kind of makes sense, if you consider how long people have been around, and all the things we've done, that someone would've thought to enlist a bear in the military or that multiple people would have died in a literal whiskey flood. History is crazy.

"We were caught in a flash flood in one of Utah's most famous slot canyons. We checked the weather the day prior and there was no chance of rain..we were out of cell phone/internet coverage. This is proof of how fast things can get ugly! We had hiked Little Wild Horse Canyon in the San Rafael Swell before always being cautious, the forecast had changed to %20 chance..this was a fairly light rain, hard to believe the results! We had hiked up further, this video is us running back to find the girls we left behind. We found them in an opening waiting out the storm. The lower slots are actually much narrower than these, luckily my wife knew to backtrack to this opening as soon as she saw the water coming. Not sure of the results had we not found them..always get to higher ground and wait it out, you won't outrun it..fun as it was to pretend for a while:)"

It's raining cats and dogs and they need some help.

Even though Hurricane Joaquin will move off into the Atlantic and not make landfall on the eastern seaboard, it still brought devastating weather to some parts of America.

South Carolina has had over two feet of rain in the past few days and it's caused a great deal of grief across the state.

Some of the most innocent victims of the storm has been the dogs and cats that have found themselves out in the storm, lost without their owners.

Well, the https://www.facebook.com/scpetsSouth Carolina Pets Facebook page has dedicated itself to providing a place where owners could report lost animals and those who found strays could connect with the owners.

As they say in the description:

This page was created to give people a broader audience to post lost & found notices rather just on random stop signs and utility poles in the community. We have often felt the concern of taking a found pet to a local shelter and then wondering if we could have done more to reunite them with their families. We wanted to bridge the gap between families who have missing pets and the benevolent individuals who go out of their way to try and rescue them.

They've already had some success stories!

Hopefully, everyone is staying safe out there.
