"My laptop charger only works if it's bent in a gentle curve. So I bent some Q-tips and taped them on for support. Works like new."

"The cable shorted out so we cut them shorter to get rid of the short (yo dawg, we herd u liek shorts) and soldered them in place where they belong. Another short, this time nearer to the computer end of the cord, so we put Q-tips and tape to hold it in a place where it charges happily."

And they all charged happily ever after!

Just in case you worry about the adapter becoming too hot.
