Rich kids have it so easy. Anyone who's ever clawed their way through the class system knows that if you ever reached the top, you'd really have to screw things up to fall from graces. With endless opportunities, golden parachutes, and full-time staff members devoted to helping you succeed, rich kids have the world at their fingertips. But it's not so simple for the regular folks down here at the bottom...

Raising a well-rounded child is always a conundrum. I can't speak from experience, but I imagine it would be particularly difficult to keep your teenager grounded if your family is affluent. Teenagers are inherently entitled, but imagine throwing a couple million dollars in their bank account along with the latest iPhone.

Some skills are considered classy if you're rich but trashy when you're poor. But why is that? When you speak a second language in an upper class household, you're highly praised at every cocktail party every time you share a pretty embarrassing, accented sentence of broken French. But if you're from a lower income family and you're completely fluent in a second language (maybe English isn't even your first language) then it's considerably less impressive.

There's a reason that people wear stupid masks to cover their identity when they accept lottery winnings on public broadcast. It's simple– they don't want their family knowing that they're overnight billionaires. For some reason, people think that they're entitled to a portion of any family member's financial success just because you're related.
