This Gold Medal Grandma Has Won Over Olympic Fans Across the Internet

Nobody is more proud of British gold medal swimmer Adam Peaty than his grandmother Mavis.

Adam Peaty won gold in the 100 meter breaststroke and set a new world record of 57.13 seconds this weekend. And while most grandmas were at home struggling with the remote, Grandma Mavis was gaining thousands of Followers on Twitter.

While most young people would be super excited to unwrap an Apple iPhone box on Christmas day, Grandma was not so pleased.

"I'm really not equipped to handle this," she said, noting that she uses a landline.

Fortunately for her, it wasn't exactly an iPhone, but it was still pretty sweet.
