Macy's Collection Of Portion Control Plates Removed From Stores After Multiple Complaints

Twitter User @allieward, started a viral Twitter thread when she complained to Macy's about the recent release of their "portion control" plates in stores. The feedback was largely one of disapproval, and people really started getting into it in the comments section. Eventually Macy's intervenes, and announces that they will in fact be removing the plates from all stores cause they "missed the mark" on this one. What do you think? A bunch of overreacting and unnecessary drama, or did Macy's cross the line on this one.

The 1997 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. There had been high winds that caused problems throughout the day. As you can see, the folks holding on the Barney were already having a hard time keeping him under control. As it happens, Barney got caught on a lamppost and suffered a fatal stab wound to the right side. And then, NYPD came in to finish the job

Looks like Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will be black listed for parent's with small children for a few years.

Thanks to strong winds in Manhattan during the annual parade, the people walking with the Barney float lost control. The giant balloon swayed into a street light, puncturing a giant hole in Barney's side. #Rest In Pieces
