Windows programs: Hit close, program takes eight minutes to close because of junk scripts and bad memory issues.

Apple programs: Well, just take a look above.

Linux programs: Search on various internet forums to figure out how to close a program for twenty minutes, at which point you realize you forgot to add the extra .dll which adds the logout shortcut. Once installed, closes perfectly every time.

That's right, we've got another apple-related post for y'all. Except this one isn't about the software/electronics/PC mega empire kingdom, but some manga franchise from Japan. Apples are everywhere!

After losing its appeal against the United Kingdom's High Court of Justice, which concluded that Samsung did not in fact infringe upon Apple's design copyrights, the Court of Appeals has decided that Apple must issue a public apology to Samsung.

Not only that, but the Court has told Apple exactly how their apology must be done, right down to the font size. The apology must be done in 14pt Arial font to make it clearly visible. The court did not issue a directive regarding italics, however, leaving Apple some extra room for snark in their apology. Because it was totally heartfelt to begin with... riiight...

Apple takes most of the flak for this marketing strategy, but the truth is that companies have been doing it practically since the concept of "companies" was invented. Economists even have a dedicated term for it.
