Photographer Kelly McCollam recreated some of Van Gogh's masterpieces using only spices and other cooking ingrients. And to think, I just use mine to make dinner!
Amy Shackleton creates these paintings using a very unique technique. Rather than brushing the paint on, she applies large patches and then drips the paint into place, often rotating the canvas to get her desired results. Her subjects feature a cool interpolation of the city and natural landscapes. Check the via link for a full interview with the artist and her method, and many more images on her personal web page!
Milan-based design group Carnovsky created an installation that's a little different than the norm. The group painted three separate wall murals using the primary additive colors (Red, Blue, Green) combined with lights of the same color within the room. Cycling through the lights gives you three entirely different looks in the room as murals become more or less invisible. Check out the views in the gallery below, and more information in the via link!
