Submitter ariled says their kitchen scale's button cell ran out of power and they didn't have another one. Luckily they had two AA batteries, some wire, and duct tape.

Little do they know, tunnels are much more effective when they are a) underground and b) not transparent. Good first attempt, kitties, but better luck next time.

From the submitter:

On the first day of a 3-day trip, I rear-ended this rental car into another car. Instead of trying to find a replacement rental on the 4th of July weekend, I (with the help of the local police!) "fixed" the bumper that was hanging off the car. I then drove it another 400 miles before returning it to the rental place on the 3rd day. I had to stop every once in a while to tighten the wires. It was nerve wrecking!

I'm surprised it isn't catching fire.

"My dad helped me fix the fan on my 'new' graphics card, but the only way to fasten it was with some thread."

You know wire is a thing, right?
