Wei Xinlong, a senior at Northeast Normal University in Changchun, built this for his girlfriend Sun Shasha. Methinks that if this is real and works well, the world is soon to see a whole new wave of tablet PCs.

From the submitter:

A while back I decided to see how my coffee maker worked. I busted it open and by the time I figured things out, I couldn't put it back together (broken). So I decided I didn't want to buy a new coffee maker and I built this stand for the machine innards. The reservoir was built into the old machine, so I had to add the bottle to hold the water as it heats up. It works great!

Instructables user cbaabc73 came up with a cheap and easy way to turn off outlets when you aren't using them. He built it after noticing his wife kept leaving the curling iron plugged, which can be extremely dangerous. This DIY project takes only basic tools without the use of soldering.
