dad

Dads are the masters of awful jokes and it turns out that, being of an older generation, they're not always the greatest at texting.

These ridiculous text conversations are brought to you by the loving pranksters that raised you. They are dedicated to fathers and father figures everywhere.

Oh, and don't let your dads eat pie.

Ahhh, dad. Poor guy was just trying to send his praises to the kind of cinematography that got his blood rushing to funny places. Poor guy clearly didn't know how social media works. Better luck next time, dad.

Comedian Jenn Welch's father passed away recently, so she took the opportunity to take to Tinder and create a 'Dead Dad Tinder' account. Heal pain through laughter or something like that right? We don't want to take away from the sheer grimness of her loss, but big ups to Welch for shining some comedic light on a period of her life that might otherwise have been given over to full on grieving.

Ugh seriously not cool MAAAM and DAAAD. These two parents had to go and set the tone of an otherwise nice check-up convo between loving family members, to instead a paralyzing level of awkwardness. But hey, I'll be the first to suggest that group chats inherently suck -- no matter who is involved. This is the rock-bottom of terrible group chats though, that much is for sure. Though, I might take the quick and deadly stab of cringe in this conversation, over the 98 notifications that last Friday's group chat bitchslapped my deeply irritated phone with.

Makeup tutorials account for approximately 97% of the Internet. The rest is people watching the world's best YouTube video "Drummer at the Wrong Gig" (not up for debate). But for people that don't use makeup or makeup tutorials, getting your feet wet in this world is almost impossible.

However, when Sophie Adler's dadoffered to do some commentary over one of her makeup tutorials, and it is hilarious.

What can you say about a dad who mistakes a 60th birthday for a 60s-themed birthday? Only that they're the best.

Keep on truckin', dad.
