I'm not exactly sure what pointing out this double standard is supposed to solve, or who is oppressed by it. I'm just reposting it here in case it interests you, the users. Seems like it could be worth some discussion.
Now prepare yourself for the battle that has existed much longer than I have, where in one corner, the men will defend this as marketing to the nature of the sexes, and women will abhor this as evidence of their oppression... but please, let's keep in mind that these books were written by two different women, and for all you know, How to Be Gorgeous could be (and probably is) about body positivity. Don't judge a book by its cover... or do... who am I to have opinions?
